Pay: $120,000-140,000

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join a well-established agricultural company in Kern County. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax functions. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, and payroll

Manage month-end and year-end close processes

Prepare and review financial statements and management reports

Oversee tax compliance, filings, and coordination with external tax advisors

Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow

Partner with leadership to support strategic and operational decision-making

Coordinate audits and serve as primary point of contact for external auditors

Supervise and mentor accounting staff

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership

Experience in agriculture or related industry preferred

Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and tax oversight

Experience managing audits and working with external partners
