Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.

A full-time position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Pickerington, OH, for the current school year.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment, serving students with hearing impairments to help them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities include:Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing studentsProviding direct instruction and support in communication, language, and social skillsCollaborating with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure students academic and emotional needs are metMonitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordinglyUtilizing assistive technology and specialized teaching methods appropriate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners Qualifications:Active Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification appropriate for the state of employmentExperience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in an educational settingStrong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staffAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team This position welcomes both local and travel candidates.

Travel candidates must hold an active DHH teaching certification in the state where they will work.

Eligible travel professionals receive tax-free stipends for housing and meals to support their assignment.

Contract renewals for the following school year will depend on performance and demand.
