Interest in food preparation and service.

Ability and willingness to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical work efficiently with continuous standing.
Ability to furnish own transportation.

REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager; works under direct supervision and specific instructions.
SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibilities.
GUIDELINES USED: Direction from Cafeteria Manager, advise from coworkers, cafeteria operating procedures, state health regulations, weekly menu, recipes, personal experience, meetings of Cafeteria Workers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform efficiently and to the best of his or her ability the duties assigned in relation to preparation of food, serving of food, cleaning all areas of the kitchen, or other assigned duties in the time allotted.
Attend training meetings are required.
Report to work at designated time, clock in and out, and remain on the job until dismissed by the manager.
Notify the manager at the earliest possible time when unable to work.
Maintain pleasant working relations with fellow employees by showing consideration for others patience, respect self-control, and other desirable character traits.
Maintain desirable relations between school and community.
Follow all policies of the School Board and instructions of the manager relating to safety measures, sanitation practices, personal standards, work techniques, and methods of performing duties.
Perform duties involved in the safe preparation and handling of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, serving of food, cashiering, and recording keeping.
Report to work at either kitchen as required.
Serves food at serving line; may store leftovers; may take out garbage and clean garbage containers; cleans serving tables after meals.
Helps to store groceries and supplies in freezer, refrigerator, and storeroom; keeps storage areas orderly; helps to conduct required inventories.
Maintain pleasant working relations with fellow employees, school and community by showing consideration for others, patience, respect, self-control, and other desirable character traits.
Take no food or supplies from school.
Conduct personal business after work hours.
No use of alcohol, illegal drugs, narcotics or tobacco products.
Other duties as assigned by manager or director.
