About the Role
We are hiring a Bookkeeper (Growth Role) to work from our Waller office, supporting a portfolio of small business clients.
Starting at 25–30 hours per week
Expected to grow into a full-time position (40 hours/week) within 60–90 days
Long-term opportunity for the right person
This is not just a task-based role — you will be responsible for maintaining accurate books and ensuring client accounts are clean, organized, and up to date.
Primary Responsibilities
Monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations
Work in QuickBooks Online AND QuickBooks Desktop
Bank and credit card reconciliations (multiple accounts per client)
Journal entries, including payroll entries from third-party providers
Texas sales & use tax support
Assist with after-the-fact payroll and quarterly reporting
Maintain clean, well-documented client files and notes
Identify discrepancies and proactively resolve issues
Tax Support (Optional Growth Opportunity)
Organizing tax documents
Preparing workpapers
Assisting with individual and business tax returns under review
What This Role Is NOT
Not a front desk or receptionist position
Not answering phones all day
Not a “figure-it-out-as-you-go” environment
Not a permanently part-time role — this is designed to grow into full-time
Required Experience & Skills
Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience required
QuickBooks Online experience REQUIRED
QuickBooks Desktop experience REQUIRED
Experience with multiple accounts and reconciliations
Comfortable with journal entries and payroll-related bookkeeping
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
Able to follow systems and processes
Comfortable managing multiple clients and deadlines
Compensation & Schedule
$22–$28/hour (based on experience)
In-office position (Waller, TX)
Flexible scheduling during business hours
Growth into full-time role with increased responsibility
