Job Title: Extrusion OperatorJob Description

We are looking for skilled Production Operators who will be trained to operate a variety of extrusion equipment. This role involves setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, and labeling and packing finished products.Responsibilities

Check operating controls and ensure safety of equipment prior to operation.

Obtain materials for processing from inventory bins and report any damaged, defective, or missing material to the supervisor.

Set up machines according to production orders.

Monitor material quality for defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.

Label and pack finished products per work order instructions.

Review work orders and drawings, resolving any conflicts.

Wear a respirator for machine setup as required.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

Comply with OHSA safety standards while performing job duties.

Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.Essential Skills

2 years of experience as a Machine Operator.

Experience working with large machines and materials.

Knowledge in production, machine operation, packaging, material handling, construction, extrusion, and compounding.Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction.

Good attendance record.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Fast learning ability.

Patience and self-motivation.

Some power tool and mechanical skills.

Interest in operating machinery.

Some Microsoft Office skills.

Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.

Good job tenure; candidates with more than 3 jobs in 3 years will not be considered.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.00/hr.
