Key Responsibilities

Set up and adjust presses, dies, and tooling for production runs.

Operate manufacturing presses to produce parts according to specifications.

Monitor machine operation, identify malfunctions, and perform minor adjustments.

Conduct in-process quality checks and inspect finished parts for defects.

Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of press machinery.

Troubleshoot and resolve common press operational issues.

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

Experience operating and setting up industrial presses (e.g., hydraulic, mechanical, punch).

Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting, adjustments, and minor maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.

Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and quality control standards.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives.

Forklift certification and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery.

Experience training or mentoring new operators.

Basic welding or fabrication skills for minor tooling adjustments or repairs.
