ROLE OVERVIEW:
A leading energy and facilities management organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Construction to support a large national energy account based in Richmond, CA.
This role will focus on overseeing projects and supporting project managers across a national portfolio for a single client. The organization delivers a wide range of integrated services, including facilities management, construction, and operational solutions, aimed at creating efficient, safe, and sustainable work environments.WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead, mentor, and support a team of project managers, ensuring accountability for performance, timelines, and key deliverables
Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, risk management, contract negotiations, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards
Manage client and subcontractor relationships through effective communication, reporting, and issue resolution
Drive financial performance by analyzing budgets, supporting cost estimates, preparing proposals, and implementing recovery plans when needed
Ensure project controls, procurement, documentation, and field operations align with company standards and client expectationsWHAT YOU BRING:
Proven experience managing complex construction projects, including MEP systems and active-site renovations
Strong understanding of safety programs, compliance, and coordination across multiple stakeholders
Experience with project controls, forecasting, scheduling, and documentation
Hands-on experience using project management and financial systems
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe, Visio, and scheduling or estimating softwarePOSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning and executing medium-sized construction projects, ensuring delivery within quality, time, and budget targets. Manages project risks, coordinates resources, and ensures alignment with business objectives and client expectations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of management experience
Minimum of 3 years of functional experienceMUST HAVE:
