Job Summary: Under the direction of the School Principal, the Administrative Assistant to the Principal for Vogel Wetmore Elementary School (grade PK-3) contributes to the efficient operation of the school through administrative support to the Principal.
Contributes to the supervision of office staff.
Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: * Provides administrative support to the Principal.
* Provides office management support in the school.
* Plans, assigns and reviews office work as required by the Principal.
* Contributes to the supervision of office staff at the school level.
* Works with minimal direct supervision of the Principal, exercising initiative and judgment to resolve problems within scope of authority.
* Creates reports, manages data and engages in research at the direction of the Principal.
* Answers telephone, maintains voicemail messages, manages e-mail and all correspondence to and from the Principal.
* Assists in the budget process and development of the building budget.
* Monitors budget expenditures and provides financial reports to the Principal.
* Manages the Principal's calendar (meetings, events, activities). * Transmits and explains the Principal's directives to staff and follows up as needed.
* Coordinates and maintains the PPT calendar.
* Performs other duties as appropriate and required.
Qualifications: * High school diploma, Associates' Degree or higher preferred.
* Five years experience in office management and leadership.
* Knowledge of school regulations, practices, procedures and office management.
* Demonstrated ability to plan, assign, review and supervise office work.
* Demonstrated ability to compose clear and correct communications.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships with associates.
* Demonstrated ability to create reports and presentations using current software and equipment.
* Demonstrated ability to complete complex projects on time.
