Computer Aided Design

Job Description

The primary responsibilities of the CAD Designer will be to work closely with project planners and engineers in developing project specific technical drawings. Additional responsibilities will be non-technical graphical design and working with project engineers in support of project development tasks.

Requirements:

A two-year college or technical school drafting/design program degree

Minimum of five years’ experience with both AutoCAD and MicroStation computer aided design software packages

Ability to develop a companywide CAD Program

Good communications skills

Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Ability to quality check own work products

Ability to work under supervision of planners and engineers in a team environment

Read and interpret engineering plans and sketches
