In our statewide Corrections and Community Reentry Services, we provide specialized case management services to help people prepare to return to their families and communities after they’ve been incarcerated. We work both inside prisons and in communities to conduct screening and assessments for substance use disorders, place clients into treatment programs, and provide support with such activities as insurance enrollment, obtaining a state ID, and finding employment resources.
We are currently looking for full-time – Supervisor
Starting at $51,200 - $55,000; contingent upon experience, education, etc.
Summary: This position is responsible for the supervision and day-to-day operations of the assigned programs and services of the agency. This position also provides addiction intervention, AODA counseling and recovery support services to clients and their families, as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide consistent supervision to all staff within assigned programs
Serve as direct liaison to Administrator for program related needs and operational issues
Provide supervision to case managers handling client crisis situations
Make court appearances and provide expert testimony as appropriate
Provide written information to the court and DCFS regarding assessment findings and make recommendations regarding the permanent placement of children
Perform home visits as appropriate to complete assessments; reassessments; observe family functioning; observe home environment; monitor family’s progress towards goals; and observe case manager functioning
Prepare, interpret and present reports regarding program operations and assist the
Participate in the review of staff performance and the completion of annual performance appraisals.
Provide guidance and support in resolving crisis situations with clients
Provide direct services to alcohol and drug dependent clients as necessary
Our Ideal candidate:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid driver's license
CADC certification within two years of employment with TASC may be required based on contractual obligations
Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated experience in group facilitation
Knowledge of the current ASAM placement criteria, DSM-V as it relates to substance-related disorders, and Code of Ethics for substance abuse professionals, or the ability to acquire the knowledge
Comfort working inside a correctional setting and with persons convicted of serious violent offenses
Flexibility in thinking and approaches to leading group discussions
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
