Post-Doctoral Scholar to pursue specialized research training and expertise in planning and execution of clinical research projects in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health; implements research studies in extramurally funded studies of effects of environmental exposures on mental health, using a variety of methodologies including neuropsychological testing, EEG, and neuroimaging. Primary role would be in the Margolis Environment Brain and Behavior (EBB) Lab with a focus on overseeing ongoing partnerships in Ghana with the Kintampo Health Research Center, and assisting with other federally funded multisite projects, where needed.
Duties include: helps oversee study activities in Ghana and other R01 projects, as needed; helps with ECHO analyses, assists in performing statistical analyses; writes and prepares manuscripts, articles, and research reports for publication and presentation; writes and submits grant applications to obtain funding to support research; provides supervision for research assistants and diagnostic interviewers; attends research seminars and lab meetings; performs additional duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or related fields required; Clinical Degree in School Psychology is preferred (licensure not required); experience in neuroimaging preferred; Experience and publication in environmental exposures science is preferred; Knowledge about the ECHO program is preferred: Ability to translate adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research preferred.
Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
