Position Summary
The Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer plays a critical role in providing Automation support for various clients and ongoing projects. This position focuses on developing, testing, and implementing new Automation rules, programs, and processes within a multi-LPAR client environment. Additionally, the candidate will assist team members and other areas with technical inquiries and problem resolution. Proficiency in z/OS Opsmvs or z/SA Automation, along with deep knowledge of REXX programming and NetView, is essential.
Key Areas of Focus for this Role
Lead self and others or establish as Product SME and specialist.
Understand how the overall picture aligns with the Ensono strategy.
Provide thought leadership within the Automation team.
Configure and support the System State Manager.
Manage and optimize the Opslog archive process.
Configure and support MSF, with a comprehensive understanding of EPI.
Exhibit strong communication skills for participation in client meetings and new business ventures.
Collaboration with the Automation team and other stakeholders.
Analyze and enhance existing automated processes to meet established standards.
Mentor and guide team members to boost their performance.
Design automated monitoring techniques for effective problem identification and prevention.
Document problem analysis, resolutions, and best practice techniques.
Take ownership of complex assignments.
Understand zSA architecture and define automation policy.
Implement message automation, particularly EMM.
Utilize zSA commands effectively.
Handle zSA defined resources and modify goals when necessary.
Experience with installation and upgrades is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
To pursue this opportunity, candidates must meet the following guidelines:
At least ten years of hands-on industry experience with z/OS, Opsmvs, and z/SA.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in the skill set of an Automation Mainframe System Programmer.
Able to undertake complex Automation changes with precision.
Experience in leading complex projects.
Demonstrated mentoring and leadership capabilities.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $148,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Compensation will be tailored based on skills, experience, and business needs. Additional incentives may include an annual bonus plan and equity grants for eligible candidates.
