Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. This vital role involves operating and maintaining press brake machinery to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in blueprint reading, and experience with various fabrication tools and techniques. As a key contributor to our production process, the Press Brake Operator ensures the delivery of high-quality products that meet strict quality standards and customer expectations. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm. Pay for this position is $20+ an hour depending on experience.

Duties

Set up and operate press brake machines to perform precise bending operations on sheet metal parts, adhering to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), to determine bend angles, dimensions, and tooling requirements.

Select appropriate tooling, such as dies and punches, for each job based on material type and part design.

Perform routine machine adjustments, calibrations, and maintenance to optimize performance and ensure safety compliance.

Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions during production.

Conduct quality inspections on finished parts using measurement tools and visual checks to ensure conformity with specifications.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating press brake machinery within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling setups.

Proficiency in blueprint reading is necessary

Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Must be able to pass a drug test
