Welding Instructor - Millstream Career Center

Education:

A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Post-secondary education in welding, such as a certificate, diploma, or associate degree in welding technology, is preferred.

Willingness to obtain CTE licensure.

Welding Certifications:

Hold relevant welding certifications, such as those issued by the American Welding Society (AWS) or other recognized certifying bodies.

Certifications in specific welding processes and techniques (e.g., TIG, MIG, stick welding) are valuable.

Work Experience:

Substantial hands-on experience as a professional welder is crucial. Several years of practical experience in the field will enhance credibility.

Experience across a range of welding processes and materials is often preferred.

Teaching or Training Experience:

Previous experience as a welding instructor or in a similar teaching/training role is highly beneficial.

Familiarity with instructional techniques, curriculum development, and assessment methods.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively convey welding concepts and safety procedures to students.

Ability to adapt communication style to the diverse learning needs of students.

Knowledge of Safety Standards:
