Job: Truck Driver

Location: New Paltz, NY

Pay: $23-26/hour BOE

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday - Friday starting between 4am and 5pm with occasional weekends

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving .This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while ensuring timely delivery of goods. The Truck Driver will operate a 26 foot truck non CDL which includes a reefer and will be responsible for loading and unloading cargo.

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles

Load and unload freight according to company procedures and safety standards.

Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.

Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.

Assist with manual transmission driving as required by specific routes or vehicle types. Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a DOT card.

Proven experience in commercial driving with refrigerated trailers.

Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.

Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.

Experience with loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
