We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PC Technician (We need 1 band 2 desktop support FTEs for this location and back up tech) to join our IT support team for back-up. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical support, computer management, and troubleshooting across various operating systems. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
This role involves serving as the first and second point of contact for customer issues, ensuring effective problem resolution and clear, timely communication regarding issue status and solutions. The position requires maintaining accurate and up-to-date ticket documentation for all reported incidents while collaborating with third-party vendors to address and remediate complex audio-visual issues when necessary. Responsibilities include installing, upgrading, supporting, and troubleshooting operating systems such as Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and applications including Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber, and other authorized desktop software. The role also requires basic knowledge of Mac operating systems to support Apple users. Additionally, the individual will install, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware, perform preventative maintenance on desktops, laptops, and printers, and carry out remedial repairs on authorized peripheral equipment. Using diagnostic tools to resolve network connectivity and workstation hardware/software issues is essential. The position calls for broad IT experience with a foundational understanding of networks, servers, audio/visual systems, smart devices, and telecommunications, along with the ability to effectively operate within a project-based environment.
