Job Title: Folder Operator / Machine Operator III
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, USA (27615)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Shift Details
2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Operators will initially train on 1st shift before moving to the assigned shift (2nd or 3rd shift).
Training duration may vary from a few weeks to several months depending on the candidate’s skills and experience.
Job Summary
The Folder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining insert folding machines used in production. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety and quality procedures while maintaining production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Locate and prepare flat stock materials for folding inserts and outserts.
Set up, operate, and adjust insert folding equipment.
Perform machine make-ready tasks and minor adjustments to ensure proper production output.
Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment (daily, weekly, and monthly).
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and 6S workplace standards.
Maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
Prepare trays and shipping containers as required.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and production guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
Ability to read and measure using a ruler.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
2–3 years of related machine operator experience preferred.
Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test.
Strong reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong basic math skills.
Basic computer skills required.
Must pass color vision and color hue tests.
Ability to maintain good attendance and work overtime when required.
Safety & PPE Requirements
Employees must follow strict safety protocols on the production floor, including:
Steel-toe shoes required
Hearing protection required
Eye protection required
No cell phone usage on the production floor
Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to:
Stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and see for extended periods.
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
