On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent Certified Dental Assistant Level II, who will provide the office with an efficient and pleasant patient experience. Dental Assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
What Will You Do
Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Readies patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
Assembles instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area, positioning instruments for dentist’s access, suctioning, and passing instruments.
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort.
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed.
Educates patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with note taking.
What You’ll Need
Must be willing to relocate to Bermuda
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Certified or Registered Dental Assistant
Level II Certification and skills
Enthusiastic attitude to working within a small team
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Currently licensed in United States, Canada or UK
Valid Passport
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like bonding Invisalign attachments and intra-oral scanning
Excellent communication and people skills
Well-organized and reliable
High school diploma; graduating from an accredited Dental Assistant school with a level II certification is required
Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. HARP)
