Note: We would consider a remote freelancer for this role if needed, but ability to come to the NYC office would be a plus.

About the position:

We recently completed a major overhaul of our company website and are now looking for a freelance web developer with strong interactive design experience to help elevate its visual appeal and functionality.The ideal candidate is consistently looking at other websites and isn't afraid to bring their ideas and inspiration to the table to share with our Creative Director.The site is built on WordPress, so expertise with it or similar platforms and the coding is essential. This is a freelance position that could be an ongoing opportunity for the right candidate. Hours will be varied throughout the project.

We are looking for a web developer who specializes in creating compelling, motion-driven web experiences, with a strong focus on interactive and visually engaging design.Please include links to live websites youve previously built or contributed to as part of your portfolio. Were specifically interested in reviewing finished, user-facing work rather than code samples, so we can evaluate design quality, performance, and overall user experience

Skilled collaborator that will work with design and marketing teams to bring the brand vision to life.

Skilled with UX/UI to implement a modern, high-touch customer journey.

Ability to continuously refine and improve website speed, performance, and usability based on user feedback and analytics.

Skilled troubleshooter that can debug issues in staging and production environment.

Ability to write clean, well-documented, and testable code.

Passionate about staying current with emerging backend technologies and best practices.

Fluent in English, great communicator, proactive mindset.

Must have experience with:

WordPress or a similar CMS

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

Familiarity with MySQL

Familiarity with ecommerce best practices (especially in luxury or design-driven brands)

Hybrid remote
