SMT Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a SMT Machine Operator with hands-on experience operating MyData / Mycronic pick-and-place equipment, specifically the MY300LX platform. This role is responsible for machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintaining production efficiency while ensuring high-quality PCB assembly.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment, primarily MyData / Mycronic MY300LX machines

Load feeders, components, and programs for production runs

Perform first article inspections and make necessary machine adjustments

Troubleshoot placement, alignment, and feeder issues to minimize downtime

Ensure accurate component placement and adherence to quality standards

Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning

Verify BOMs, programs, and setup sheets prior to production

Work closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve process issues

Maintain accurate production and downtime records

Follow all safety and ESD procedures

Qualifications

2+ years of SMT machine operation experience (MyData / Mycronic preferred)

Experience with MY300LX or similar pick-and-place platforms strongly preferred

Understanding of SMT processes, including component placement and PCB assembly

Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and BOMs

Familiarity with feeders, nozzles, and component packaging (reels, trays, sticks)

Basic troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
