Steel Press Machine Operator Tasks & Duties
Set up and operate steel fabrication machines according to production specifications and work orders.
Operate CNC punch press machinery to fabricate metal components.
Operate punch press machines including Minster, L, and Perkins for progressive die operations in a fast-paced production environment
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Measure, cut, shape, and form steel materials using manual or automated equipment.
Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
Record production data such as quantities, dimensions, and equipment settings.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams to resolve production issues.
Suggest process improvements for efficiency and quality enhancement.
Steel Press Machine Operator Shift Info
2nd shift 4:00 pm to 12:30 pm OT as needed
Monday - Friday
Steel Press Machine Operator Qualifications (Requirements/Skills)
Steel Press Machine Operator experience preferred
Shipping and receiving experience preferred
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
Experience with Amada or similar CNC turret presses.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Hybrid software, and prepress workflows.
Experience with RIP software (e.g., EFI Fiery, Esko Automation Engine) is a plus.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in file preparation and proofing.
Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot file issues and offer practical solutions under tight deadlines.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients.
Knowledge of Printing Processes: Familiarity with offset printing techniques
