Job Responsibilities
Maintain and improve RHEL Linux environments (200 linux servers currently)
Perform monitoring and performance tuning of RHEL Linux environments
Design, implement, and maintain a solution for RHEL patch management
Provides support for implementing RHEL configuration management
Provides support for infrastructure upgrade projects
Provides support for automation of RHEL server life-cycle
Support day-to-day administration of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)
Support and collaborate with other teams including DevOps, Development, and other Operations teams
Creation of architecture documents, operations process and procedure documents, troubleshoot documents, and run-books Qualifications
Advanced knowledge and skills in RHEL Linux administration, RHCSA certification would be a plus
Experience with RHN (Red Hat Network) local and satellite repositories
RHN makes updates, patches, and bug fixes of packages included within Red Hat Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux available to subscribers.
Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible
Experience with Apache HTTPD and WebLogic application server, SiteMinder would be a plus
Experience in scripting/programming language (Shell/Bash, Python/Jython, Perl, HTML, Java) would be a plus
Working knowledge of VMware virtualization (vSphere, vRealize Automation), VMware certifications a plus
Solid understanding network technologies like switching, routing, DNS, VXLAN, SDN, etc. Education
BA/BS in Computer Science or related experience Minimum Knowledge & Experience
4-6 years' experience in a Linux administrator role
Ability to perform analysis with limited supervision, with a problem-solving mindset
Ability to multi-task and flex when priorities change
Ability to process new concepts and technologies quickly, has an appetite for learning
Good oral and written communication skills are required
