Job description: POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented UV Print Machine Operator to support fabrication operations in Faribault, MN.
This role is critical to producing high-quality printed components using UV-curable inks on various substrates.
The UV Print Machine Operator will be responsible for machine setup, material handling, print quality verification, and maintaining production standards while adhering to safety and operational procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Set up and prepare UV printing machines by loading inks, calibrating print heads, and adjusting machine settingsLoad and align substrates (metal, plastic, glass, or other materials) for accurate printingOperate UV print equipment to apply inks according to customer specificationsProgram automated machinery using computer-based instructionsInspect printed materials for color accuracy, resolution, and overall qualityMonitor feeding, printing, and racking processes to detect malfunctions and make adjustmentsPerform routine maintenance including cleaning print heads and replacing consumablesManage color profiles to ensure consistent color reproductionOrganize and schedule print jobs to meet production deadlinesRecord production data, scrap reports, machine settings, and maintenance activities in EpicorMonitor material inventory to ensure continuous printer operationFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocolsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle timeCollaborate with supervisors, quality control, and design teams to meet customer requirementsPerform other duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Basic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of manufacturing experienceMinimum 3 months of experience operating a UV printer in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in EnglishStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to lift and move materials up to 50 lbsAbility to safely operate machinery and visually inspect finished products Preferred QualificationsTechnical education or vocational training in printing, graphic arts, or related fieldProficiency operating UV print machines and related softwareKnowledge of color management and print calibration techniquesBasic maintenance and troubleshooting experienceBasic computer skills with accurate data entry experienceAbility to perform simple shop math and interpret process sheets and SOPsUnderstanding of blueprints, mechanical assembly, or electrical assembly
