Pay: $18.00 to $25.00 Based on experience
Shift: 6am- 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 6am-10am Friday
POSITION SUMMARY: Sets up and operates the Vertical Machining Center (VMC) to produce precision parts.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (includes essential job functions):
Set up VMC with existing programs.
Make offset adjustments during operation.
Perform quality checks of VMC using measuring tools.
Read prints and job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions.
Perform preventative maintenance per schedule. Report to supervisor.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
Must have VMC or CNC experience
Must be proficient in the use of measuring tools
Metal fabrication experience required
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, detail oriented production and manufacturing environment
Must be proficient in print reading
Good oral and written communication skills
Must have good organizational skills
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
Good interplant customer service skills
Must be self-motivated
Must have strong math and metric conversion skills

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand in an upright position for continuous periods of time.
May be required to climb ladders or work in overhead areas.
Employee is required to walk throughout the facility during the course of the workday.
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to pull and/or push up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
May be required to bend forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
