The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Set up and adjust manufacturing presses according to job specifications and production schedules.

Operate various presses (e.g., stamping, forming, hydraulic) to produce parts, monitoring machine performance.

Perform routine quality checks on finished parts, identifying and reporting any defects or non-conformances.

Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic preventive maintenance on presses.

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production instructions to ensure accurate part production.

Load raw materials into presses and unload finished products, ensuring proper material handling.

Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Recommended Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating and setting up manufacturing presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, CNC).

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for machine adjustments, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting.

Proficient in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) and performing in-process quality checks.

Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Bonus Qualifications

Forklift certification

Overhead crane operation experience

Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)

Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills

Experience with Lean manufacturing or 5S principles
