RF Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design and plan RF coverage for cellular networks (2G/3G/4G LTE/5G NR)

Perform radio network dimensioning (sites, sectors, carriers, bandwidth)

Create coverage, capacity, and interference predictions

Select optimal site locations, antenna heights, azimuths, tilts, and power levels

Conduct link budget analysis

Optimize RF parameters to improve:

Coverage

Throughput

Call/data success rates

Handover performance

Analyze KPIs and counters from OSS tools

Support drive test analysis and implement optimization recommendations

Coordinate with:

Site acquisition teams

Transmission engineers

Optimization and field teams

Prepare RF design documentation and reports

Support network rollout, expansion, and modernization projects
