Position Overview
• Located in Texas at a site that supports both R&D and manufacturing.
• Products supported include Intelliblade (microwave ablation) and cryotherapy systems for cancer treatment (Varian Products)
Work Location & Schedule
• On-site required, but flexible depending on transition and training.

Experience Requirements
Senior Electrical Engineer
• Minimum 7+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Strong background in test engineering, test development, and practical hands-on work.
• Medical device experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
• Support the ### Healthineers (VIS) Austin, TX site as an electrical engineer for components, devices, systems, software and test system for commercial products, product enhancements and new product development.
• Performing electrical design activities including, but not limited to, component selection, circuit design/simulation, prototype evaluation, unit-level testing, lifecycle testing, system integration testing, drawing/document creation and modification, and execution of Engineering Change Orders within SAP for hardware, firmware, and embedded software components.
• Continuously improving quality by addressing manufacturing and field non-conformities through troubleshooting and root cause analysis with the use of electrical test equipment and custom test sets.
Skills/Attributes:
• Strong electrical design skills with schematic and engineering analysis capabilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills including maintaining thorough and accurate engineering documentation required for medical devices and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of engineering and management.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional internal and external teammates in the mechanical, software, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and service organizations.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented to produce high quality results in a timely fashion.
• Understanding of electronic assembly fabrication and manufacturing processes with experience collaborating with contract manufacturing suppliers for new product introduction (NPI).
• Knowledge of best practices for design for manufacturing, serviceability, and reliability.
• Familiarity with electronic product development in a highly regulated environment.
Requirements for success in this role:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in the design and manufacturing of custom electrical assemblies. Medical device experience is a plus
• Proven track record of contribution to multiple products, projects, and processes taken from concept to fruition.
