Job Title: 2nd Shift - Print Technician

Job Summary:
The Print Technician is responsible for supporting flexographic printing operations within a paper converting environment, ensuring the high-quality application of designs, logos, and product information on bags. This role focuses on monitoring production process related to inks, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient workflow in alignment with customer specifications. The technician works closely with machine operators, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to complete production tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
Mount printing plates and assist with preparing plates for production runs.
Mix, adjust, and fine-tune PMS colors to accurately match required specifications while maintaining appropriate viscosity levels.
Conduct visual and system-based quality checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
Monitor print quality, including color consistency and registration, adjusting as needed to meet specifications.
Troubleshoot any printing issues and escalate equipment concerns as appropriate.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of inks, solvents, and equipment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certificate or associate's degree in printing, ink, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience as a machine operator, mechanic, or print technician in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
X-Rite experience helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of time.
Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials, operating machinery, and making adjustments.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach (including overhead) as needed.
Good visual acuity, including close vision and color differentiation, to inspect print quality and color accuracy.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, ink, and solvents.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
Ability to climb ladders or stairs and access elevated platforms when necessary.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing/production facility with moderate to high noise levels.
Exposure to inks, solvents, adhesives, and other chemicals used in the printing and converting processes.
Work may involve standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
Requires interaction and coordination with other production team members, supervisors, and quality personnel.
Adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
May include occasional overtime, shift work, or weekend hours to meet production schedules.
Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour
