Job description:

The person in this role should be someone that is seeking and is excited by new challenges, and someone that is passionate about improving state government in the way IT and digital services are delivered.

Responsibilities of a Tableau analyst/developer include:

Contract is approximately 10 months or through 6/30/2021

Document the requirements or user-stories or unmet data needs in one or more areas of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Decision Support or Business Analysis is required

Understand the business processes and underlying data

Perform hands-on work with complex data analysis, report and dashboard development utilizing Tableau, adhering to client's Tableau reporting design and security standards

Utilize Blank Canvas (Self-Service) Capability Design & Development, develop train the

Trainer documentation and execute one train the trainer session

Perform data validation and quality assurance, as needed

Ensure timely delivery of reports / dashboards and manage conflicting priorities and customer expectations.

Ongoing production support of existing and new reports / dashboards

Qualifications of a Tableau analyst/developer include:

Must have at 5+ years of professional and proven experience in tableau dashboard development

Must have 5+ years' experience with Tableau Server Administration

Must have 5+ years' experience with Blank Canvas

Should have experience with Tableau desktop version 10.5 or above

Tableau Advanced concepts like LoD expressions, Row-level Security, Dynamic Parameters Dashboard Optimization techniques

Strong experience in SQL must Expertise in Tableau, SQL and Excel to build analysis to derive insights from data

Experience in data retrieval, data manipulation, data analysis and presentation using data visualizations.

Proficiency in MS Excel with knowledge of Pivot Tables, VLookup and other advanced functions is required
