The primary responsibilities of this position include:

• Work with the USCA Refinish Export Compliance Coordinator (ECC) (responsibilities detailed in the Global Export Compliance Manual and associated documentation)

• Work in conjunction with ECC to process Export orders. Including:

o Maintain Excel spreadsheet with open orders and use this to update PPG affiliate spreadsheets

o Maintain complete digital record for each international shipment

o Communicate with PPG affiliates through email regarding orders, questions, requirements, etc.

o Work closely with stateside PPG manufacturing/shipping facilities regarding export orders and accurate documentation

o Work closely with the order entry team in Strongsville regarding Purchase Order discrepancies and changes

o Work with freight forwarders, air and ocean, regarding necessary documents, shipping delays and schedule changes, and system discrepancies requiring document editing

o Use Oracle and Trade Automation Systems to maintain the flow of Exports by entering booking requests, creating preliminary documents, communicating shipping details and delays to affiliates, generating final documents, obtaining certificate of analysis, and updating documents as needed

o Create debits and credits for PPG entities and forward for approval

o Confirm Harmonized Tariff Schedule Numbers and license requirements as needed

• Review the following for completeness and accuracy and resolve open issues:

• Shipper's Letter of Instructions (SLIs), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists

• Provide support to the Export Compliance Coordinator on various projects

Prepares export documents in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Calculates weight and volume of merchandise that is imported or exported to foreign countries. Verifies that invoices are accurate in accordance with physical shipment and customer's SLI, volume, value of materials/goods, country of origin and other regulatory requirements May calculate value of duties and tariffs due on transported goods. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. Pay Rate 22.50/hr.

*Position is remote and temporary

Schedule:

8:30am-5:00pm with a 30 minute lunch.
