Azure Data Engineer – Data & Analytics Domain

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer with strong expertise in building and managing scalable data solutions within the Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL pipelines, along with a solid understanding of modern data engineering practices.
This role requires a professional who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data integration, processing, and delivery. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and implementing best practices for cloud-based data solutions.
The selected candidate will also play a key role in documenting data workflows, improving system performance, and supporting continuous innovation in Azure-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and manage ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Optimize and troubleshoot ADF workflows to ensure performance and reliability
• Work with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and related services for data storage and processing
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations
• Document ETL processes, pipeline configurations, and data flow diagrams for maintainability
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance within cloud environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and implement data requirements
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage version control using Git
• Continuously explore and adopt best practices for Azure-based data engineering solutions
• Support data integration and transformation processes across multiple data sources
Required Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including advanced query optimization and stored procedures
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for pipeline development
• Experience working with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and related Azure services
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts and data integration best practices
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize data workflows
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake)
• Exposure to modern data architecture patterns and cloud-native solutions
