DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keep work area clean at all times.
performs related duties as assigned by supervision
Periodically spot check pouches on line. Check one pouch per each retort to confirm product texture,color and weights are correct
Verify artwork on pouches to ensure the correct pouches are being used. Verify codes throughout shift to ensure code is correct.
Document variables sheet
Notify management of any non-conforming findings.
Pouch testing includes net weight, residual gas, fill variations, and internal pressure. Use three side machine using 25 psi for 30 seconds to ensure seals are strong and durable.
Check pouches every 30 minutes for defects & record. Verify codes are correct.
Check moisture (correct water amount used in product), bostwicks (product is the correct thickness), and check metal detectors (product free from all metal).
Check analytically in fruit to make sure the brix, ascorbic acid, and PH is in the correct range.
Calibrate scales
Set up printer & confirm codes to MPC spread sheet.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED preferred
JOB KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Prior inspector experience
Strong math skills
Ability to initiate problem solving skills
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
GMP'S
General safety
Video review controlling food allergens in the plant, food safety, food security
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to handle long time standing and walking
Must be able to stoop and bend.

Pay Details: $14.00 per week
