Job Summary (CT/X-Ray Technologist):
- Perform diagnostic radiographic (X-ray) and CT procedures using approved techniques and standards.
- Produce emergent and routine diagnostic images with both fixed and portable X-ray equipment.
- Acquire routine and emergency diagnostic images in CT room.
- Adjust exposure settings and patient positioning to obtain optimal images and minimize radiation exposure (following ALARA principles).
- Process images in PACS and ensure completion of exams per Radiologist protocols.
- Document, charge, and process exams in electronic medical records.
- Schedule patients for various imaging appointments (X-ray, CT, MRI, US, DXA, Holter Monitor).
- Assist and inform patients regarding contrast media administration for CT exams.
- Participate in quality control related to equipment, radiation safety, and patient safety.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of exams.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff.
- Maintain required credentials (R.T.(R)(ARRT)); 1 year of CT technologist experience preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in radiographic procedures, radiation physics, human anatomy, and physiology.
- Participate in rotation of call and weekends.
- Work schedule: 4 days/week, 10 hours/day (Monday-Friday), 40 hours/week with rotating weekends and call.
