The Project Management Technical Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department, facilitating professional growth among team members, and reporting metrics and statuses to the Delivery Manager and the customer(s). They will provide leadership and direction to their direct reports and ensures that all projects meet their Cost, Quality and Timing metrics.

They will also be responsible for helping to grow the business and execute the current work-flow.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities + Oversee project managers, project coordinators, and project controls analysts + Provide leadership and training in Project Management to the department and provide one-on-one mentorship and training as needed + Establish, monitor, and maintain quality control standards for Cost, Quality and Timing metrics + Monitor and communicate project portfolio health + Hold teams accountable to project baselines; make sure change orders and/or revisions are addressed in a timely manner when appropriate and necessary + Work with internal Project Management Teams as well as customer(s) to drive business processes to make sure workflow and workload is efficient and effective + Determine customer's needs and work with customer and internal team to make sure processes run smoothly + Interface, and be the liaison, with the customer on problems and inefficiencies + Resolve problems that arise on invoicing, resourcing, and staffing + Work out resolutions to disagreements between customer and internal team on processes and issues + Proactively pursue solutions regarding personnel issues including hiring, firing, promotions, demotions, attendance issues, scheduling and performance reviews + Drive development and training of team and help determine potential training needs + Identify and develop relationships with target clients and support the development of an expanding team Education and Experience Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, or Business + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required + Ten years of experience interfacing with engineering, construction, planning, and project management + Ten years of experience in scheduling, project controls, project coordination, or project management in capital projects + Demonstrated experience in project execution, risk management, and overseeing a portfolio of projects totaling over $5 million in revenue + Minimum of three years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility Requisite Abilities and Skills + Demonstrated leadership skills managing large teams of diverse skill sets + Demonstrated understanding of project controls and project management + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Desire to develop self and others: technically, professionally and personally + Clearly understands the value of supporting and managing diversity in the workplace + High level of personal character and integrity + Team player with ability to work in a highly cross-functional and virtual environment + Highly proficient in PC applications- MS Office suite of tools a must + Critical thinking that drives risk and quality management + Significant experience in business financial management Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
