Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team within the Maintenance Department.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our plant's electrical systems.
Responsibilities * Maintain regular and dependable attendance as a key requirement of the job.
* Serve as the Site Electrical Engineer, providing support to the Maintenance Department.
* Update and maintain plant electrical single line diagrams and associated Arc Flash Analysis and Labeling.
* Act as an Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for NFPA 70E compliance.
* Specify appropriate Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.
* Possess knowledge of PLCs, Instruments, DCS systems, UPS systems, and low voltage (<600 VAC) plant systems.
* Possess knowledge of DC voltage systems for PLCs, Instruments, DCS systems, UPS systems, and other plant systems.
* Provide Maintenance Functional input for new Process Equipment Purchase Specifications.
* Direct Electricians, Mechanics, and other staff disciplines to support projects and maintenance efforts.
* Collaborate with I&E Technicians and Management.
* Train co-workers in areas of expertise as needed.
* Participate in Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews for safe commissioning and system start-up.
* Specify on-site maintenance and repair capability and tooling requirements.
* Recommend improvements based on Root Cause Failure Analysis findings.
* Establish critical equipment spares.
* Recommend equipment reliability improvements through analysis of equipment trends, historical, and field data.
* Ensure compliance with standards and plant requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications and/or technical drawings.
* Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards through detailed calculations.
* Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or plant requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
* Complete additional assignments as directed by management.

* Minimum 2 years' experience with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives and motors, low and medium power distribution, substations, and power distribution equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, cables, etc.). * Minimum 2 years of experience in Facility Engineering.
* Experience in Chemical Manufacturing with Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred.
* Root Cause Failure Analysis and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Thermography, and Motor Circuit Analysis experience are desired.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $62.50/hr.
