Senior Java Developer

Job Title: App Dev - Java - Lead

Location: McLean or Richmond VA

Duration: 19 months

Job Description:

Design, develop, test and deploy high-quality, scalable software solutions in a cloud-native environment.

Collaborate with tech leads, product owners, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and coding standards.

Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting and support to ensure product quality and reliability.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience

At least 5+ years working with a primary coding language Java

At least 3 year experience with open source frameworks - Spring MVC & Spring Boot

At least 1 year of experience with relational database

At least 1 year of experience with Microservices

At least 3 year experience with cloud computing (AWS)

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree

5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go

5+ years of experience with AWS or another cloud service

4+ years of experience in open source frameworks

3+ years of experience in Agile practices

2+ years of experience with UI technologies Java Script, Typescript, Angular.
