An industry-leading, full-service agricultural retailer is seeking a Grain Elevator Manager to lead daily facility operations and deliver exceptional service to local producers. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient grain handling, maintaining quality standards, and fostering strong customer relationships within the agricultural community.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management: Direct all facility activities, including grain handling, storage, drying, blending, and load-out processes
Quality & Inventory Control: Monitor grain condition through testing and sampling while maintaining accurate inventory records
Safety & Compliance: Uphold OSHA, environmental, and state regulations to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant workplace
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff to maximize efficiency and performance
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, supporting grain purchasing and marketing efforts
Facility Maintenance: Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment such as conveyors, legs, and grain cleanersQualifications
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of grain handling, storage, and agricultural operations
Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with grain grading equipment and inventory management systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined or dusty environments
Preferred Background
Experience in agriculture, agribusiness, grain operations, or logistics
Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, grain handling) are a plus
