JOB DESCRIPTION - Facilities MaintenanceTechnician (Multi-Childcare Site)

childhood education centers in the area. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our schools

remain safe, compliant, and fully operational for the children, families, and staff we serve

each day.

Key Responsibilities

● Perform routine maintenance and repairs across multiple locations, including floor care

and upkeep

● Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and basic

HVAC systems

● Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety standards and licensing compliance

● Complete work orders efficiently and maintain accurate service records

● Identify and address potential hazards proactively

● Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and services

● Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs and emergencies

● Assist with facility improvements, classroom setups, and minor renovations

Qualifications

● 7+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field

● Strong working knowledge of:

Plumbing

Electrical systems

Carpentry

General building repairs (fencing, concrete, caulking)

● Ability to work independently across multiple sites and manage competing priorities

● Strong problem-solving and communication skills

● High attention to detail with a focus on safety and compliance

Requirements

● High school diploma or equivalent (trade certification preferred)

● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel required)

● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

● Must pass a background check (required for childcare environments)

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience in Multi-site environments

● OSHA or other safety certifications

● Trade licenses (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
