The Performance Marketing Owned Media Channel Strategy and Optimization (CSO) team is responsible for driving growth and efficiency across owned digital marketing channels (e.g., Chase.com, Chase Mobile, email) within the Consumer & Community Banking Marketing division. We leverage data, technology, and creative strategies to optimize performance, maximize ROI, and deliver best-in-class customer experiences in Chase.com and Chase Mobile App.
As a Marketing Senior Associate on the Channel Strategy and Optimization team, you should be a data-driven marketing professional and will lead performance analysis and optimization across owned digital marketing channels. You will be in a highly visible, strategic role with significant interaction with cross-functional teams across the firm. You will assess marketing effectiveness at the channel, page, placement, and full-funnel levels; design analytics frameworks and execute governance processes; and partner with dedicated teams to build automated reporting, forecasting, and AI-driven optimization solutions. You will translate insights into executive-ready communications and clear recommendations for Lines of Business (LOBs), ensuring campaigns meet or exceed performance benchmarks.
Job Responsibilities:
Assess LOB performance at the channel, page, placement, and across the full marketing funnel to understand marketing effectiveness
Develop an analytics framework across the marketing funnel and build automated solutions to quickly evaluate performance
Create and communicate executive-level presentations and messages to socialize insights and decisions
Evaluate Owned Media exception requests, size trade-offs, communicate and explain decisions to LOBs, and create a governance playbook to streamline end-to-end processes
Leverage monthly benchmark reports to identify and prioritize underperforming campaigns; rank-order and group campaigns into tiers to efficiently enhance performance
Dive deep into campaign strategies to optimize targeting, creative, placement strategy, and frequency caps; size performance impacts of changes and report outcomes to leadership
Monitor weekly and monthly results to detect significant changes; investigate root causes, strengthen channel strategy, create tools to diagnose issues, and leverage AI solutions to summarize performance shifts
Review marketer requests for entry into the channel, ensuring campaigns exceed performance benchmarks before launch
Develop a forecasting model, partner with dedicated teams to build the solution, and identify AI use cases to automate optimization processes and reduce manual effort
Required qualifications, capabilities and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, marketing analytics)
5+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing analytics, performance measurement, and experimentation in web or app channels
Strong analytical capability and proficiency with data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe, Analytics, Tableau, SQL) with the ability to structure and solve complex problems
Reporting and diagnostics proficiency to monitor weekly and monthly results, detect significant changes, build tools to investigate root causes, and leverage AI solutions to summarize performance drivers efficiently
Product and analytics-led solution design to translate performance questions into clear requirements, define KPIs and success criteria, and partner with dedicated teams to build forecasting, reporting, and automation solutions
Executive communication skills to develop and present insights clearly to senior stakeholders and LOB partners, including decisions and their rationale
Strong stakeholder and relationship management, problem-solving, and business judgment to balance speed, governance, and performance outcomes
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
