Compounder - 1st Shift - Pay up to $23/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Compounder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing latex compounds and dispersions by following detailed recipes and ensuring quality control through various stages of production. This role involves hands-on work with equipment, raw material handling, and shipping and receiving duties.

Responsibilities:

Process latex compound and dispersions by following a written recipe.

Weigh specific types and quantities of liquid or solid raw ingredients using an automated dispensing system or manual scales, according to formulas.

Monitor mixing tanks, mills, mixers, pumps, and compounding kettles.

Move completed batches into containers via pump or gravity drop.

Assist with raw material handling.

Collect samples on processed latex compounds and/or dispersions for lab analysis.

Clean equipment.

Process waste water.

Load and unload shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.

Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or record-keeping purposes.

Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools or power tools.

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in using forklifts and pallet jacks.

Experience in compounding and batch making.

Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Knowledge of blending and production processes.

Experience in shipping and receiving operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.

Attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.

Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and on Fridays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Akron, OH.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
