Position Summary:
PCI Design Group has an immediate opening for a motivated Architectural Designer III to join our team. This entry-to-mid-level position provides support to Project Architects and Project Managers and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with all aspects of multi-family residential projects. The ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced environment, take direction from senior staff, and contribute to the creation of construction and presentation drawings.
Who You’ll Report To:
The Architectural Designer III will report to the Managing Director and Project Architect or Project Manager.
What You’ll Own:
Assist in creating and editing AutoCAD and Revit drawings.
Produce 2D and 3D renderings for applications, presentations, and client review.
Set up and maintain CAD Sheet Set Manager and create plot sheets.
Work on standalone plans, including kitchen/bath plans, unit plans, building plans, roof plans, exterior elevations, sections, and details.
Modify wall sections/details and understand how changes affect plans, elevations, and sections.
Support SD and DD tasks under supervision of Project Architect/Job Captain/Project Manager.
Perform entry-level Construction Administration tasks, including shop drawings and meeting minutes.
Apply basic knowledge of accessibility codes, fire ratings, and fire & sound separations relevant to multi-family projects.
Understand Wood-frame and Prefabricated Truss construction and general requirements for funding applications.
Assist with general office and project support tasks as needed.
Who You Are:
Able to follow office standards for AutoCAD/Revit and produce accurate drawings.
Comfortable following direction from senior team members while contributing ideas.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to efficiently modify and create drawings.
Excellent communication skills for internal collaboration and client-facing tasks.
Adaptable and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field; Master’s preferred.
3–5 years of relevant experience in architectural design and drafting.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
