IT Project Manager (Infrastructure & Cloud)

Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (Infrastructure & Cloud) Location: Columbus, OH - Onsite - LOCALS ONLY Duration: Long-Term Contract Work Type: Full-time / Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate enterprise-level IT and business solution projects.

This role involves managing complex infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity initiatives while working closely with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Project Leadership & Stakeholder Management (40%)Manage multiple IT and business solution projects with executive-level stakeholdersApply and enforce project management methodologies and standardsDevelop and oversee project plans including:Scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, communication, and change managementCreate and execute detailed project work plans; revise as neededReview deliverables to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper documentationSet and manage client expectations to drive high customer satisfactionLead client meetings and communicate progress to leadershipDrive strategic planning for federal and state-mandated initiativesDevelop and implement project management policies 2.

Enterprise Project Delivery (45%)Define and manage project scope, including change control processesDevelop comprehensive project plans and execute deliveryEstablish timelines, milestones, and resource allocationManage:Task sequencing, scheduling, and duration estimationBudgeting, cost estimation, and financial controlEnsure quality assurance and compliance standards are metLead team acquisition, onboarding, and developmentPrepare and present regular status reports to stakeholdersIdentify risks and implement mitigation strategiesOversee full project lifecycle including project closeout 3.

Project Management Best Practices (10%)Promote PM best practices through training and mentoringDevelop and maintain statewide PM methodologyCollaborate with IT policy teams to implement governance standards 4.

Additional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in senior leadership meetingsDeliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders Required Qualifications & Experience7+ years managing infrastructure-focused IT projects:Server migrationsEnd-of-life remediationData center consolidation5+ years of strong infrastructure domain knowledge2+ years experience in:Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)Microsoft 365 (Exchange migrations, cloud services)Disaster recovery planning in hybrid/cloud environmentsIT/Cybersecurity project management (risk, compliance, security)Working in large, regulated, matrixed organizations5+ years experience with:Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologiesMS Office SuiteProject tools (Clarity EPPM preferred) Preferred QualificationsPMP Certification (Highly Desired)Experience with government or public sector environmentsStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
