Job Summary: The HR Generalist is an experienced human resource professional responsible for supporting daily HR operations. This role provides direct support to employees, assists with problem-solving across HR functions, and manages staffing efforts for both direct hires and staffing agency placements for all of Agri-Fab. The HR Generalist also ensures compliance with company policies and employment regulations while fostering a positive, service-oriented workplace culture.
Essential Functions
This position's essentials include, but are not limited to:
• Manage Staffing activities, including market research, marketing, job fairs, sourcing candidates, and scheduling interviews for both facilities. Oversee the pre-employment process, including drug screens, medical questionnaires, and background checks, for the Decatur location.
• Facilitate orientation & Onboarding.
• Assist with the cascading of company communications, benefits and company announcements and changes.
• Updates weekly company staffing report.
• Sends out electronic employee exit interviews and analyses for improvement opportunities.
• Manages staffing agency employee timesheets and attendance to company policy.
• Provide HR support to employees, including assistance with benefits, payroll, and general HR inquiries.
• Assist with investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Attend and participate in assigned department and company meetings.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for policy improvements outside of benefits and compliance policies.
• Maintains thorough documentation.
• Uphold confidentiality in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Demonstrate a service-oriented approach and proactively seek ways to support employees and leadership.
• Maintains professionalism and self-control in challenging situations.
• Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
• Collaborate effectively with leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years working in an HR Generalist role or related experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

• Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
