Pegasus Tech Ventures is seeking a Software Engineer passionate about technology, startups, and venture capital to join our headquarters in San Jose, California. We are a global venture capital firm headquartered in Silicon Valley, managing 35+ funds for leading global corporations. In addition to investing in innovative startups, we build internal and external technology platforms that support investment diligence, portfolio management, and corporate–startup collaboration.

This role will work closely with the investment, business development, and operations teams to design, build, and maintain software systems that power our venture ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain internal software tools and platforms supporting venture capital operations, due diligence, and portfolio management
Collaborate with investment and business development teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
Build and integrate APIs and third-party services (e.g., data providers, AI/LLM tools, CRM, analytics platforms)
Support development of scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems and data pipelines
Contribute to frontend development for internal dashboards and user-facing tools as needed
Participate in system architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical documentation
Support deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvement of production systems
Assist with software testing/validation, QA testing, and more
Support other technical projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
0–3+ years of experience in software engineering, startups, or technology-driven environments
Strong proficiency in xywuqvp at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar)
Familiarity with web frameworks, APIs, and databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Interest in venture capital, startups, and emerging technologies
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work from the Silicon Valley headquarters (visa support available)
