Software Test Engineer

As a Software Test Engineer, you will contribute to quality assurance of software systems and applications in order to deliver information technology components based on client or customer requirements.
You’ll contribute to test frameworks, write maintainable automated tests across layers (API/UI), and collaborate closely with developers and product to prevent defects before they ship.
What will be your tasks?
Responsibilities of the successful candidates are to provide manual and/or automation testing of application features and capabilities to ensure they meet client or customer requirements.
Reviewing the requirement and design specifications
Preparation of test plans with clear scope, objectives, deliverables and risks identification
Development of functional and non-functional test cases (scripts) using various test automation frameworks
Debug failures, analyze flakiness, and improve test reliability and coverage
Tracking and reporting of quantitative and qualitative testing metrics
Ensuring testing is carried out in a timely, repeatable, and effective manner
Defect logging and reporting
Who are we looking for?
Basic qualifications:
Analytical thinking and strong attention for detail
Excellent communication
Familiarity with version control (Git), CI, and basic SQL or API tools (Postman)
Knowledge of any programming or scripting language (e.g. Python or Typescript)
Ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly
Proactive approach
You communicate in Slovak and English.
Top candidates will also have:
Experience with manual or automation test scripting techniques
Experience with defect logging or test management tools
Experience with one or more frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium/WebDriver, REST Assured, pytest, JUnit/TestNG, NUnit, Mocha/Jest)
Basic cloud knowledge and understanding of web technologies
ISTQB / ISEB foundation certificate
