Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will have the overall line responsibility from production to packaging. You will operate the computer system, stack finished products, monitor production, and pull samples for the lab. You will also record production and issues encountered during your shift, ensuring goods are produced and packaged in accordance with agreed specifications. Collaboration with the team to ensure efficiency and harmony is essential.

Responsibilities

Operate the computer system

Stack finished products and monitor production.

Pull samples for the lab and record production details.

Ensure goods are produced and packaged correctly.

Promote teamwork and efficiency within the team.

Regularly stand, walk, and reach as part of daily tasks.

Lift weights of up to 10 lbs regularly, 30 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally.

Essential Skills

Experience in machine operation (1+ years required).

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts.

Operation of computer systems.

Quality inspection skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

The dress code requires steel-toed boots, long pants, jeans or khakis, and a t-shirt. Ear plugs, hair nets, and other necessary items are provided. Employees must adhere to guidelines, with shifts scheduled as 12-hour switch shifts: 2 on 2 off, 3 on 3 off. Shift times are A/C and B/D: 6:00pm-6:30am. During the 30-day probationary period, training occurs from 6 AM to 6 PM following the same shift pattern.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Iowa City, IA.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
