Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Order Entry Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a long-term care pharmacy environment. This role involves accurately entering prescription data into the pharmacy system and supporting customer service needs with professionalism and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system Respond to customer inquiries and resolve medication-related questions Collaborate with internal teams to improve service quality and operational efficiency Adhere to all safety, privacy, and compliance regulations, including HIPAA Maintain professional standards in attendance, conduct, and dress code Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Active pharmacy technician license/certification as required by state regulations Minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician (long-term care experience preferred) Familiarity with brand/generic medications and SIG codes Proficient in alpha-numeric data entry and basic math Ability to read and interpret prescription information accurately Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to communicate effectively in English Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (7–10 hours per day) Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, or walking May be required to lift or move up to 30 pounds Flexibility to work extended hours as needed
