Your Impact
As our Residential Clinical Supervisor, you’ll be the XXXXXX of Ashley’s XXXXXX — ensuring that every dollar supports our mission of recovery, renewal, and hope. You’ll:
Documentation Standards
Ensure that documentation of assigned counselors/therapists is completed thoroughly and in a timely fashion as indicated by agency, state, payer and accreditation standards through regular auditing.
Provide supervisory review and signature to assessments, individual session notes and treatment plans completed by certified, graduate level, trainee staff or interns.
Work with clinical team to reduce rate of errors through coaching and providing education and trainings in common errors.
Backup
Provides coverage as needed for all clinical services to ensure that the quality of patient care is uninterrupted during staffing absences.
Supervisory Duties
Ensure high quality service delivery through shadowing and patient interviews; providing feedback and coaching for staff.
Meets with each supervisee individually and in group supervision weekly (face to face).
Manages outcomes data collection software/system.
Responsive to staff as needed through on-call phone.
Completes Emergency Petitions as needed.
Staff Selection and Training
Participates in the interview process.
Responsible for onboarding of all new clinical staff.
Holds discussions with clinical staff related to personal/professional growth and areas for improvement in their role.
Provides field supervision for master’s level intern for social work and/or counseling.
Models therapeutic techniques for clinical staff as needed.
Utilization Reviews
Coordinates with UR Department to advocate for patient treatment at appropriate level of care through detailed and individualized UR notes.
Participates in Peer to Peer reviews and advocates for the appropriate level of care needed to effectively treat the patient.
What You Bring
A Clinical Supervisor must meet the following qualifications:
LCSW-C in the state of Maryland in good standing, with approval to supervise by the Board of Social Work Examiners.
Recommended: Approval to supervise by the Board of Social Worker Examiners and LGPC approved supervisor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Approved Supervisor by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors & Therapists.
Clear understanding of ASAM criteria.
Must be able to speak and write clearly. Basic mathematical skills required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
Able to interpret educational material, assessments, and treatment plans so that patients understand contents; able to probe and draw out thoughts, feelings, problems, concerns and fears of the patient.
