Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for construction projects based on plans, specifications, and client requirements.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and objectives.

Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers to incorporate into estimates.

Maintain organized and up-to-date records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.

Conduct research to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

Assist in preparing proposals and presenting estimates to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.

Utilize estimation software and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency of the estimation process.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus.

Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills to perform accurate cost calculations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and willingness to learn estimation software.
