Senior Data Engineer

Location: New York City (Hybrid)

Salary: $170,000 – $190,000 + Equity

Femploy by Infinite Code is recruiting for a high-impact Senior Data Engineer to take full ownership of a modern data platform in New York City (Hybrid).

This is a strategic, senior-level opportunity for a "Data Architect" mindset. Our client is looking for a specialist with 5+ years of experience to scale their infrastructure, optimize Snowflake/BigQuery environments, and build robust ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt and Python. You will be the primary

driver of data reliability and performance across the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and optimize the entire data platform (Snowflake or similar)

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines

• Implement monitoring and improve data reliability

• Standardize and optimize data models for reporting, dashboards, and ML use cases

• Enable secure and user-friendly data access across teams

• Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to ensure data consistency

• Implement testing, CI/CD, and documentation best practices

• Drive infrastructure and tooling decisions

Key Impact Areas

• Redesign data models to improve efficiency and reduce redundancy

• Improve pipeline reliability and monitoring systems

• Optimize data warehouse costs

• Build data layers that support both technical and non-technical users

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering

• Strong experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift

• Advanced SQL skills with performance optimization experience

• Hands-on experience with dbt or similar tools

• Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines

• Experience owning data infrastructure end-to-end

• Strong understanding of data quality and monitoring frameworks
